When you see those TV programs like Property Ladder, House Doctor and Extreme Makeover Home Edition, they will tell you that if you want to increase the value of your property, then you should refit the kitchen - by spending £2,000 you can increase the value by up to £10,000. This is because it is the central feature of any house.

Wheels are the main aesthetic feature of most cars, this is especially true of cars that are sold mainly on their aesthetics such as BMW, Mercedes and Audi, Ford, Renault and Peugeot. This is especially true of Alfa Romeos where the car is built around the wheels.

The only time that refurbishing will not increase the value is when you car has after-market wheels that don't suit the car... as with many things, an extra isn't necessarily an enhancement - refurbished or not!
