Valeting for Leased and
Contract Hire Vehicles
The BVRLA standards says:
"The vehicle should be sufficiently clean to allow a detailed inspection"
"Upholstery must be clean and odourless with no staining"
Clean the Car Yourself
We strongly recommend that people clean their cars -- but we don't mean drive down to the car wash! If you don't already do so, we suggest getting a bucket and sponge and rolling your sleeves up and physically doing it yourself.
There are two good reasons for doing this, the first is that if you already have most of the tools you need (a bucket, hosepipe, vacuum cleaner, cloths and sponges) then it's cheaper than having a valet, which many cars don't actually need. There is no requirement that you return your car in concourse condition.
The second reason is that it will reintroduce you to your car and help you get to know it. When you spend a couple of hours cleaning your car, you will see all the little scuffs, chips and scrapes that will draw the attention of a lease inspector.
Once you have cleaned your car we recommend that you download and print off our Inspection Sheet and inspect the car yourself.
What to do next?
Once you are at this point you may have found that you have some stains or odours that you don't know how to deal with. Or you may have found scratches, dents or scuffs that you feel won't pass an inspection... or you may be unsure! Either way we can help.
If you have questions, you can either submit them to "Ask the Experts", or if you are near by, you can drop by for a free appraisal -- neither of these services will cost you a penny so you have nothing to lose. If you feel there is quite a bit that needs looking at, we offer two levels of inspection.
If you don't think your efforts to clean your car were quite good enough, then we offer a range of valet services including a special Lease Return Valet. We also offer a full range of Smart Repair Services to deal with any damage you found.
Our Valets and Inspections
