Refurbishment Recharges
The lease company will lose money on your car if it is not returned in an acceptable condition, so they make charge-backs to cover their costs. Sometimes you are charged for repairs, sometimes they will charge you for devaluation. These can come as a nasty shock to people returning their lease cars, especially if the bill runs into thousands of pounds.
Maybe they won't notice the damage
A few years ago lease companies were more relaxed about inspecting cars, and sometimes they let people off rather than upset them and lose a customer. But the used car market has become really tough and the lease companies were losing millions of pounds every year. So now the cars are inspected twice and double checked. Many lease companies even bill their inspectors for any damage they miss. They can't afford to let damage through because even a minor scuff can mean the difference between a car selling at market value and not selling at all.
How we save you money
We take the guesswork out of returning your lease car. Our inspectors are trained by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association to apply the Fair Wear & Tear Standard which is the industry standard used by the leasing companies. We provide you with an Independent inspection report listing all the damage, some of which will fail, some will be fair wear and tear. We also make a report with recommendations as to which damage you should have repaired. This is the point where our experience and expertise saves you money - we take an overall view of the car and recommend the most economical way to proceed.

Timescale ~ Because you will have a return date as a deadline, we try to fit you in as quickly as possible. The inspection takes 2-3 hours. You may wish to allow more time to allow us to go through the report with you.
