How we deal with vinyl and synthetic leather trim repairs
The above photo shows a welt on a centre console caused when the vinyl has become stretched after being scuffed by some bodies boot. Sometimes the vinyl can be shrunk back into place by heating it with a hot air gun, but often the damaged area needs to be cut away and the hole filled with a special vinyl filler.
after the area is filled, it is sprayed with a textured paint (above) which mimics the original finish of the vinyl.
The final stage of the vinyl repair process is to match the colour and re spray the area.
