After washing the bonnet off, everybody (even Danny) was satisfied that it was in a truly terrible state.

Mark then divided the bonnet in half with some insulation tape and began the process of restoring half the bonnet by cleaning the area with a clay-bar. This does nothing to remove the large number of scratches but will clean the paint of tiny particles of dirt, minerals and metal fallout.
