The vinyl on this seat has been torn away after it has cracked, the rest of the seat looks tatty but it can be cleaned up, although there is some wear and a hole on the seat base which can be hidden by folding it into the seam. |

The first stage is to take the cover off the seat and then undo the stitching so that you have the componet parts. |
|
Dave then uses the damaged part to make up a pattern that he can use to cut a new peice. |
|
Here they are shown side by side, the old peice below the new peice. |
|
Then the new peice is sewn back onto the seat. |
|
Here is the finished item - the seam has been moved to cover the hole in the cloth face of the seat. The seat is still dirty but this will clean up okay once it's been shampooed. |
